| 1. CD Does
Not Work On Windows XP |
Check your CD
version number. If you are using version 1.0 it will not work on Windows
XP, or Windows 2000. To run on Windows XP or 2000, you must use version
1.2. If you are a registered user of version 1.0 we will upgrade you to
version 1.2 at a discounted cost. Please email us for details.

Quicktime Not Installed Error |
Multimedia World of
Horses is driven by Apple® Computer’s QuickTime engine. While most
computers already have QuickTime™ pre-installed, some do not. The program
will not operate without QuickTime installed on your computer. In the
event you need to install QuickTime, you will find two separate files on
the CD ROM disk that contain the QuickTime™installation setup program.
Install QuickTime only if it is not currently on your system. Please read
the Quick-Start Guide that came with the CD ROM for installation
instructions. There is also a ReadMe text file on the CD that provides
added instructions.

| 4. How Do I
Install World of Horses |
World of Horses does
not install on your hard-drive; it runs entirely off the CD-ROM. Each time
you want to use the program, you must insert the CD-ROM disk into your
CD-ROM drive and then follow the instructions for running the CD in the
"Running the CD" section of this web page.

Close all Windows
programs as they may cause a viewing conflict. For version 1.2, simply
insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive and the program will run
automatically. If your system’s auto-run feature is disabled, or if you
are using version 1.0 that does not automatically play, you must start it
manually. From the Start Menu select Run, then type D:\horses.exe then
click OK. The program will then begin to play. D refers to your CD-ROM
drive letter and is usually the default CD ROM drive letter for most
computers. Substitute your actual drive letter if different. If you are
unsure of your CD ROM drive letter, double click on the My Computer icon
at the top left of your screen desktop. Your drive letters are listed
individually. You can also bypass the Run command, by going to "My
Computer" then double-clicking on the CD ROM icon to show all the files on
the World of Horses CD. Double-click on a file named horses.exe. This will
start the application and bypass the Run command.

| 6. Error:
Cannot Find File D:\Horses.exe |
This usually occurs
when you start the CD manually and your CD ROM drive letter is not D, but
is actually something different such as E, or F, or M. The playing
instructions in the World of Horses "Quick-Start" guide lists the letter D
for reference purposes only, but asks you to use your actual drive letter
if different. To view your actual drive letter assignments, simply go to
"My Computer" to verify the letter and then substitute it in the Run
command. You can also bypass the Run command, by going to "My Computer"
then double-clicking on the CD ROM icon to show all the files on the World
of Horses CD. Double-click on a file named horses.exe. This will start the
application and bypass the Run command.
